U.S. and Burma/Myanmar

It was yesterday that Ambassador Scot Marciel (U.S. Deputy Assistant of State for South East Asia and Ambassador for ASEAN Affairs) visited Chulalongkorn University to deliver the speech about the U.S. policy toward Burma/Myanmar in a public forum hosted by ISIS and ASP.

I never expected load of famed people and media would flock into the room. With a limited number of seats, most who came late had to stand or sit on the floor. Ambassador Scot Marciel is very high-ranking U.S. officer but, honesty, I have just known him a couple of days prior to the day he came.
